Hudson Bingo Hall Theft: Suspects Wanted, Police Say
Hudson police said a brother and sister from Massachusetts are wanted after trying to steal a purse at a bingo game.

HUDSON, NH — A bingo player recently thwarted an attempted purse-snatching at a Hudson bingo hall and police are asking the public's help locating the suspects. Brother-sister Martin and Evelyn Crespo, ages 37 and 44, respectively, are wanted on theft charges. Police said the siblings are from Lowell, Massachusetts.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hudson police at 603-886-6011. Anonymous tips can be made to the Hudson police crime line at 603-594-1150.
In a statement, Hudson police Lieutenant Tad Dionne said the attempted purse-snatching happened November 1 at the Kiwanis hall on Melendy Road during a bingo game.

"A player had left her purse momentarily unattended by her seat as she stood in line to purchase some tickets," Dionne said in a statement. "She watched as a male and female appeared to act in concert in an attempt to take the victim's purse. The female appeared to point out the unattended purse to the male, who
then grabbed the purse and tried to stuff it into a paper bag. The victim ran back and grabbed her purse out of the hands of the male party ... Witnesses at the scene corroborated the victim's account."
