Man Charged After Allegedly Breaking Toddler's Arm
Police say James Duff grabbed a 2-year-old and picked her up by her arm with enough force to break it.

James Duff, 28, of 12B Hanover Street, Nashua, was arrested Sept. 16 after police say he broke a 2 year old's arm.
Duff was charged on an outstanding warrant for second degree assault, a class B felony, for an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 10.
According to detectives from the Youth Services Division, On September 10, 2013 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a local hospital reported a 2 year-old female had come in for treatment of a fractured arm under suspicious circumstances.

A subsequent investigation by the Youth Services Division revealed that Duff, who is known to the victim and was caring for her, was the person responsible for the injury. It was learned that earlier in the day while at a Nashua residence that Duff had grabbed her by the arm and picked her up forcibly, which resulted in the fracture.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Duff is being held on $10,000 cash/surety bail pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on September 17, 2013.
