Man Charged With Breaking Into Nashua Business That Helps Homeless
Ranashali McCarthy was arrested Thursday after employees reported that a door had been forced open and items inside were damaged.
NASHUA, NH — A 23-year-old man was arrested in Nashua Thursday and charged with breaking into a downtown business that provides services for people struggling with homelessness, the Nashua Police Department said.
Ranashali McCarthy, who has no fixed address, was charged with burglary, which is a Class B Felony, according to police.
A Class B felony is punishable by a term of imprisonment, exclusive of fines.

McCarthy was released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 13 in the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South, authorities said.
According to police reports, at 8:05 a.m., members of the NPD's Uniformed Field Operations Bureau responded to a call from employees at the local business. The employees reported that a door had been forced open and multiple items inside had been damaged.

At the scene, NPD officers discovered McCarthy inside the business, the department said.
After a brief investigation, the suspect was taken into custody, according to the NPD.
