Man Charged in Attack that Left Victim, 16, Bruised and Battered
Devonta Sota charged with an alleged brutal attack that included kicking, choking and holding a 16-year-old against her will.

Devonta Soto, 20, of 7 Forge Drive, Nashua, was arrested Sept. 13 on an outstanding warrant for domestic violence: second degree assault, a class B felony for the following incident:
On July 30, 2013 at approximately 4:05 a.m., police responded to a local hospital for the report of a young woman, 16, who was being treated for injuries sustained during a domestic assault. A subsequent investigation by the Youth Services Division revealed that Soto was the person responsible for, and charged with:
- 2 counts of Domestic Violence: Second Degree Assault, Class B Felony
- Domestic Violence: Criminal Restraint, Class B Felony
- Felonious Sexual Assault, Class B Felony
- Domestic Violence: Criminal Mischief, Class A Misdemeanor
- 8 counts of Domestic Violence: Simple Assault, Class A Misdemeanor.
A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Soto is being held on $75,000.00 cash bail pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on September 16th, 2013.
