Man Charged with Strangling Woman Following Argument

John Greenlaw is charged with second-degree assault.

NASHUA - John Greenlaw, 37, of Nashua, was arrested for domestic violence second degree assault, a class B felony, charged with strangling a woman during a domestic dispute on April 6.

By the time police arrived to the residence at about 11:45 p.m., Greenlaw had fled on foot. The woman told police she had been strangled by Greenlaw. She suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical treatment.

Greenlaw was arrested about two hours later when he returned to the residence.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Greenlaw is being held on $10,000 cash or surety bail pending an upcoming arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on April 8, 2013.
