Man Dies After Reportedly Jumping Off Bridge In Nashua
Police are investigating the death of a man who reportedly jumped off the Main Street Bridge in Nashua.
NASHUA, NH — Police are investigating the death of a man who reportedly jumped off the Main Street Bridge on Sunday. Although two police officers got into the water and brought him to shore, their efforts to save his life were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead after receiving medical help.
Nashua police say they received a report about the incident around 8:25 a.m. Sunday. When police responded to the scene, they saw the man in the Nashua River and they got into the water and brought him to shore, where he received medical aid with the help of Nashua Fire and Rescue Department. The man, whose identity is not being released by police, has died.
The two officers out were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and were treated as a precaution, according to a statement by Nashua police.
