Man Faces Felony for Handgun Following Street Fight
Peter Johnson allegedly had a handgun during a street fight outside a local bar.

A city man was arrested for possession of a handgun, a felony charge, following a disturbance outside a local bar over the weekend.
On Aug. 24 at about 1:30 a.m., officers were called to investigate a disturbance outside of the Old Amsterdam Bar, 8 Temple St. While breaking up a group gathered outside, an officer noticed one man, later identified as Peter Johnson, 37, of 15 Northwood Drive, Nashua, walking away carrying a dark object in his right hand.
Officers attempted to stop Johnson who continued to walk away. Johnson then jumped into the back seat of vehicle, identified as his girlfriend’s. Officers made contact with Johnson and located a loaded semi-automatic handgun. It was found that Johnson was a convicted felon and as a result he was placed under arrest.

It is a felony offense for a convicted felon to possess a weapon.
Johnson was charged with: convicted felon, class B felony; and disorderly conduct, a class A misdemeanor. He was arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division on Aug. 26.
