Wrong-Way Driver Stopped, Charged with DUI, Stolen Guns

Police recovered guns allegedly stolen from a Mass. gun shop from the trunk of Brandon Yebba's car.

Brandon Yebba, 27, of 32 Stonington St., North Andover, Mass., was arrested March 12 by Nashua Police at the Rockingham County House of Corrections, Brentwood, in connection with a February incident in which Yebba was pulled over for driving the wrong way while intoxicated, with a load of stolen guns in his trunk.

Yebba is currently incarcerated at the prison on unrelated charges.

According to a police narrative, on February 3, 2013 just before 3 a.m., patrol officers stopped a vehicle for travelling the wrong way on Medical Center Drive. The operator was identified as Brandon Yebba.

Yebba was subsequently placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. During an inventory search of Yebba’s vehicle, seven firearms were located in the trunk.  Information was later received that the firearms recovered from
Yebba’s vehicle were stolen from a gun shop in Salem, Mass. Detectives furthered the investigation, and an arrest warrant was issued for Yebba, charging him with receiving stolen property, a class A felony.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years in New Hampshire State Prison, exclusive of fines. Yebba was being held at the Nashua Police Department pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on March 13, 2013.
