Man Arranged Sex With 'Child' Over Social Media: Nashua Police
Nashua police said Michael Cummings, of Derry, was arrested during a sting over social media.

NASHUA, NH -- A Derry man was arrested Tuesday after police said he tried to arrange sex with a child over social media. Michael Cummings, of Derry, was charged with felony-level illegal computer use. He was arrested during an online sting operation by officers.
"Nashua Police ... used an online social media website to proactively attempt to identify subjects looking to communicate with children," Nashua Police Captain James Testaverde said in a statement. "(Cummings) agreed to travel to Nashua to engage in sexual contact with the person he believed to be a child."
Cummings was arrested at Tuesday at about 6:30 p.m. after traveling to Nashua, police said. He was released on $300 bond pending an arraignment November 1 in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
