NASHUA, NH - Michael W. Rollo, 55 of Nashua, died April 13, 2013 at the Manchester Veterans Administration Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on December 13, 1957 in Arlington, Mass., the son of Walter and Rita (Belisle) Rollo. He attended local schools and earned a BA degree from Middlesex Community College.
Michael served with the US Army from 1976 to 1982 and achieved Marksman M16.
He lived in Florida with his wife Pam for 16 years before moving back to NH.
Mike worked at Data Ed in Salem as a computer technician for several years until his illness took him over.
He loved playing "kitty whist" with his family; his blue Mustang; his cat "Buddy" and drag races.
Members of his family include the love of his life, his wife Pamela (Royalty) Rollo; a granddaughter, Amber; a brother Richard E. Rollo; and his significant other, Cyndi Morse of Townsend, MA.; three sisters: Linda E. DeCecca of Nicholasville, KY; Janice M. Rollo and her significant other Bill Bovill of North Chelmsford, MA; Luane R.Smith and her husband Jeffrey A. Smith of Nashua; a brother-in-law, Robert Arsenault Sr. of Haverhill, MA; two cousins: John Langlois of NH, Donna Demers of FL; two godchildren: Brody Arsenault of NH, Justine DeCecca of KY, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St., Manchester.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to the Manchester VA Medical Center Palative Care Unit, 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
