Where is the Most Accident Prone Intersection in Nashua?
Statistics from 2011 show an increase in traffic accidents and traffic stops by police.
The count of all accident calls for service in Nashua remained relatively consistent over the past several years with a slight increase in 2011. However, compared to the average of the past six years, accidents actually decreased 4 percent in 2011. [See Figure 17.]
The linear trend line in Figure 18 shows that motor vehicle stops have continuously risen (with the exception of Year 2007) over the past seven years. Year 2011 represented a 27 percent increase in motor vehicle stops from the average.
According to Nashua Police annual crime report for 2011, the top 5 accident locations of traffic accidents included:

• 300 Main Street/Shaw's Plaza (44 accidents)
• 310 Daniel Webster Highway/Pheasant Lane Mall (44 accidents)

• 406 Amherst Street/Amherst and Somerset Parkway) (30 accidents)
• 500 West Hollis Street/Exit 5 W, near the Nashua Police Station) (22 accidents)
• 311 Daniel Webster Highway/near Costco (21 accidents)
Notably, 44 accidents occurred both at 300 Main St. and at 310 DW Highway. Of the 2,349* accident reports written, 6 percent involved injury. Top repeat accident locations involving injury included:
- 56 West Hollis St. (4)
- 283 Amherst St. (3)
- 500 W. Hollis St. (3)
