Nashua Arts Commission Names Grant Recipients
Several local art-centric organizations will receive grant money to continue their individual missions.

The Nashua Arts Commission is delighted to announce the recipients of this year's 2013 Nashua Arts Grants. The grants will support projects that will promote, encourage and showcase the arts in Nashua. This year's projects range from supporting public art to providing funds for several scholarship programs for children in the greater Nashua area to take music and dance lessons.
A total of $33,690 was distributed among this year's recipients:
City Arts Nashua for ArtWalk 2013 in September.

Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce for their Downtown Music Festival.
Gallery at the Wall to help pay for permanent picture frames for the wall gallery at Rotary Park in downtown Nashua.

Nashua Chamber Orchestra for their free Family Concert to be held at the Nashua Public Library.
Nashua Community Music School for their financial aid program that assists students who would otherwise not be able to attend classes.
Nashua International Sculpture Symposium for their current public art project,Celebrate/Celebrar, which will place public art in the neighborhood near the Ledge Street School.
Northern Ballet Theater for their free Discover Dance! Program for elementary school students and their Free Community Performance programs.
Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps. to help support their 4th Annual Summer Music Festival at Stellos Stadium, which is free to the public. This year, the program will include a DrumBattle for area school marching bands.
Symphony NH to help support the in-school Symphony NH music programs, a free community concert at Holman Stadium in August, and a pilot program for a small group of elementary school student to receive free string instruction.
“The Arts Commission was very happy to support so many projects this year” said Liz Racioppi, chair of the Nashua Arts Commission. “Well established organizations have added to the creative economy here in Nashua, and new artistic groups are emerging more frequently. The increase in our grant budget allowed us to distribute funds to more organizations”.
