Nashua Crash Takes Down Light Pole Spit Brook Road

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire, AMR, and Nashua Police responded to an accident on Spit Brook Road near the entrance to Motel 6 Monday.

The vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway striking a light pole which crashed to the ground. Firefighters were called to the scene at just before 9 a.m. The single vehicle accident closed the right lane of Spit Brook Road.

Nashua Fire Rescue worked to mitigate electrical hazards from the pole. AMR EMTs evaluated the female driver of the car who refused medical treatment at the scene.

Nashua police handcuffed the driver after she was evaluated and put her in the Nashua Police Cruiser at the scene.

Nashua police confirmed the silver vehicle was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Utility crews arrived on site to replace the utility pole.

It is unknown what the female driver was taken into custody for.
