Nashua Fire, AMR And Police Respond To Snapped Pole On Lake Street
A car struck a pole snapping it, and sheered off a fire hydrant near Lakeside Ave. Eversource is working to make repairs to the damage.
NASHUA, NH - Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR Ambulance, and Nashua Police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole on Lake Street Saturday.
The car was traveling East on Lake Street and collided and snapped a utility pole near the corner of Lakeside Ave at about 3:07 p.m. The vehicle also struck a fire hydrant that was sheered off.
Eversource was called to the scene and will work for several hours to replace the utility pole, and transfer the wires over to the new pole. 1st Priority towing was at the scene removing the vehicle once Eversource secured the area.

It is unknown what injuries the operator of the vehicle had, and the accident is under investigation by Nashua Police. It does not appear any other vehicle was involved.
A short time before this accident Merrimack Police and Fire responded to an accidentin their town for a vehicle that struck and snapped a utility pole.
