Nashua Fire Responds To Fire On Roof Of Multi-Unit Building
Firefighters arrived at the Temple Street Hotel to find a fire on the roof Monday.
NASHUA, NH — On September 7, 2020 at 8:47 pm Nashua Fire Rescue responded to Temple Street, to the Temple Street Hotel for a building fire. The initial caller reported a fire on the roof, and dispatch advised the occupant to pull the fire alarm to begin evacuating the building.
Engine 4, Engine 1, Ladder 1, the Deputy Chief, Engine 3 (firefighter safety crew), and an AMR Ambulance responded.
When the Nashua fire crews arrived they had nothing visible showing according to NFR Deputy Chief Glen MacDonald. Crews went to the roof and found a small fire in the rubber roof membrane. The fire was confined to the exterior roof and there was no damage inside the building.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Nashua Fire Marshal’s Office.
Deputy Chief Glen MacDonald said “The building is an old building with multiple additions. There are four different roof levels. The exterior is masonry but the interior is wood.”
