Nashua Man Accused Of Making Lewd Gestures To Juvenile Girls In Park

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Friday and is accused of making lewd gestures and comments to juvenile females in Mine Falls Park, the Nashua Police Department said.

Keith Bernasconi, 42, has been charged with two counts of attempted felonious sexual assault, a Class B felony, and breach of bail, a class A misdemeanor, police said.

The suspect was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South, according to authorities.

According to police reports, at approximately 4:44 p.m. Wednesday, the NPD received a report of a male suspect making lewd gestures toward two juvenile females as they ran through Mine Falls Park, the department said.

At approximately 4:25 p.m. the following day, the NPD received a call about a male suspect making lewd comments and gestures toward two other juvenile females who were walking through Mine Falls Park, according to the NPD.

The NPD said both sets of juvenile females provided similar descriptions of the suspect.

According to police, NPD officers searched the area and located Bernasconi, whom they said matched the physical descriptions provided by the females.

The NPD said detectives from the Special Investigations Division took on the investigation.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Bernasconi was out on bail for a previous lewd/indecent exposure-related crime, according to police.

At approximately 7:59 p.m. on Friday, officers from the NPD's Uniformed Field Operations Bureau took Bernasconi into custody, the NPD said.
