Nashua Man And Dog Escape A Bedroom Fire On Knollwood Ave
Firefighters arrived to smoke showing from a single-family house and quickly knocked down a fire; it appears the fire started on a mattress.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, and AMR ambulance responded to Knollwood Avenue for a reported house fire Friday.
Firefighters arrived at about 3:45 p.m. and had smoke showing from a single-family house, and made entry into the building. Crews found a mattress on fire that had spread to the bedroom and smoke throughout the house.
A man and a dog self-evacuated and were uninjured. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and used fans to eject smoke from the house.

The fire is under investigation by the Nashua Fire Marshal’s Office and the initial information is that the fire was caused accidentally.
Nashua Fire Deputy Chief Kevin Kerrigan requested the American Red Cross to respond to the scene to assist the homeowner.
