Nashua Man, VT Woman Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges In VT

BENNINGTON, VT —A man from Nashua and a woman from Bennington, Vermont, were arrested Wednesday in Vermont on drug trafficking charges, the Bennington Police Department said.

Adam J. Dallaire, 38, from Nashua, and Vera Logan, 33, of Bennington, Vermont, were charged with trafficking heroin, possession of cocaine and conspiracy, according to police. Logan was charged as a fugitive from justice.

Authorities said the suspects were held for lack of $50,000 bail and transferred to the Marble Valley Correctional Center. The suspects were scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division on Thursday.

According to police reports, on Wednesday, Bennington officers were called to 111 Northside Drive after a report of two suspicious people in a vehicle. Reports also suggested a firearm could be observed in the vehicle.

At the scene, officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart, located at 212 Northside Drive, and police said the two suspects were inside the vehicle. The BPD said officers identified the suspects as Dallaire and Logan.

Police said they conducted an investigation into the suspects and learned that there was an extraditable warrant out for Logan's arrest in the Bronx, New York for dangerous drugs.

Officers also discovered suspected narcotics and evidence of illicit packaging material at the scene, the BPD said.

According to police, 114 grams of suspected bulk heroin, which is the equivalent of 5,500 bags of heroin, and 31 grams of suspected cocaine were recovered. The total street value of the suspected narcotics is approximately $60,000, the BPD said.

Police said they also located a black pellet gun that resembled a handgun.
