Nashua Police 2012 Crime Statistics Report

Results of the 2012 report indicates property crime and crimes against society are up; crimes involving people, slightly down.

Highlights below from the Nashua Police 2012 Crime Statistics Report, also uploaded here as a printable document in its entirety. We've highlighted a few of the statistics below and isolated some tables and charts:

Total Arrests: Down in 2012 with 4,616 arrests compared to 4,731 in 2011. However drug arrests continue to steadily rise with 471 in 2012 [see Figure 17.]

Robbery: Up 5 percent over 2011. The majority of robberies occurred at the victim’s home or on the street (47 percent) or in or around a restaurant or food store (21 percent).

Assaults: The majority of "Person Crimes" reported were for assault offenses (86 percent). There were 907 simple assaults reported in 2012 compared to 792 in 2011. The number of aggravated assaults remained at 94.

Calls for service: Were down this year. In 2012 there were 106,667 calls made compared to 2011 when there were 109,857 calls made. The average number of calls over the past eight years is 95,429

Most calls for service are made on Friday between 8 am. and 12 p.m.
