Nashua Police: Child Sex Assault Fugitive Hid In Laundry
Nashua police said Michael Woodbury, wanted on child sex assault charges, was found at a city residence hiding under a pile of laundry.

NASHUA, NH -- A New Hampshire wanted on child sex assault charges was arrested in Nashua after police said officers found him hiding at a city residence under a pile of laundry. Michael Woodbury (pictured), 44, was charged with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, police said Monday.
Nashua Police Captain James Testaverde said on Wednesday, the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office advised officers that Woodbury was in the city.
"After a search that lasted several hours, Detectives from the Special Investigations Division and Criminal Investigations Division successfully located Woodbury hiding under a pile of clothing within a Nashua residence," Testaverde said in a statement. "Woodbury was subsequently taken into custody."

Woodbury was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child under the age of 13 and resisting arrest. He refused bail and was transported to the custody of the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office.
Police said Woodbury's criminal history includes a conviction for assaulting a child in 2014. At the time, he was sentenced to one to three years in prison.
