Nashua Police Continue To Investigate Fatal Shooting, Ruled Homicide

An Amherst Street shooting killed Joseph Bisson, 57. Police are looking for anyone who knew Bisson's whereabouts before the incident.

NASHUA, NH - Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg completed an autopsy on a man shot Friday night in Nashua on Amherst Street.

Attorney General John M. Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke said Joseph Bisson, 57 was shot at 56 Amherst Street, and died from gunshot wounds.

The autopsy conducted determined that the cause of Mr. Bisson’s death was a gunshot wound to the abdomen and head and that the manner of his death was a homicide.

At this point in the investigation, investigators believe they have identified the involved parties and there is no threat to the general public stemming from this incident.

The Nashua Police Department is actively investigating all of the circumstances leading up to this incident and the sequence of events.
