Nashua Police: Man Ran $1K Lowe's Self-Checkout Scheme
Nashua police said Michael Rogers, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, put bar code stickers of cheaper items on goods he purchased.

NASHUA, NH -- A Massachusetts man was arrested this week on charges he took advantage of the Nashua Lowe's self-checkout machine to the tune of than $1,000, according to police. Michael Rogers (pictured), 43, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, was arrested Monday and charged with felony fraud.
Nashua Police Lieutenant Craig Allard said officers learned that for weeks, Rogers would visit the Nashua Lowe's and place bar code stickers for cheaper items on more expensive items. He would then take the items and use the self-checkout machines. The scheme netted him $1,082.91 worth of fraudulent transactions, Allard said.
Rogers was released on bond pending an arraignment October 25 in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
