Nashua School Day Extension Denied By Teachers

The Nashua Teachers' Union rejected a plan to add 14 minutes to the school day the make up for snow closings.

NASHUA, NH — The Nashua Teachers' Union on Thursday rejected a plan to add 14 minutes to the school day the rest of the year to make up for snow closings. The measure would have added 7 minutes to start of the school day and 7 minutes at the end starting February 5.

The current last day of school is set for June 20; the plan would have ended school June 15, according to the Union Leader.

More snow is on the way for Nashua Sunday and Monday, exact accumulation projections have not yet been determined.
