NASHUA, NH -- A Nashua sex offender was arrested Tuesday after police said he failed notify authorities of email accounts. David Dion, 39, was charged with two counts of registration of online offenders, a felony.

"The Nashua Police Department discovered a convicted Sex Offender had failed to report an online identifier on his Sex Offender Registration as required," Nashua Police Lieutenant Robert Page said in a statement. "An investigation was initiated by the Special Investigations Division and it was verified that Dion failed to notify the Nashua Police Department of an email address. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Dion failed to notify the Nashua Police Department of a second email address as well."

Dion was convicted of illegal computer use in Nashua in 2009 and is required to register as a "Tier II" sex offender the remainder of his life.

The current felony charge against him is punishable by up to seven years in prison if he's convicted.
