Nashua Strangulation Suspect Held On $100K Bail

Nashua police said Chad Silver was charged with strangulation and domestic violence Thursday.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Thursday on domestic violence charges after police said he strangled an individual twice. Chad Silver, 34, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of criminal threatening. He was held on $100,000 bail pending an arraignment Friday in Hillsborough County Superior Court, according to Nashua police Lieutenant Robert Page.

Page said on Thursday at about 10 p.m., officers responded to a city address for a report of an assault and encountered a victim acquainted with Silver.

"The victim ... reported that he strangled them twice and then threatened them over the phone," Page said in a statement. "Silver was located later in the evening and he was taken into custody."
