Nashua Telegraph Bought by W. Va. Newspaper Co.

Ogden Newspapers Inc. will take over Nashua Telegraph operations as of April 22.

The Nashua Telegraph will be purchased by Ogden Newspapers Inc., a West Virginia newspaper group that currently owns about 40 daily and weekly newspapers, free shoppers, directories and more than a dozen magazines, including Mother Earth News and Utne Reader.

The announcement today by the Telegraph ended several months of speculation over what was next for the community's longstanding newspaper of record.

In December of 2012 Independent Publications, Inc., longtime owner of the Telegraph, announced it was looking to sell the newspaper and associated weeklies and websites, including: Cabinet newspapers: the Milford Cabinet, Merrimack Journal, Bedford Journal and the Hollis/Brookline Journal.
