Nashua Gets Share of $70K Citizen's Bank Grant

Big announcement coming Thursday about Tree Street revitalization plan.

As part of its Growing Communities initiative, the Citizens Bank Foundation will announce $70,000 in grants to projects in Nashua and Laconia designed to foster neighborhood revitalization. The announcement will be made Sept. 19 during a press conference with Nashua Mayor Donnalee Lozeau, elected officials and community leaders.

The grant will be used for a major revitalization effort in the Tree Street neighborhood.

Growing Communities is part of Citizens Helping Citizens Helping Citizens Strengthen Communities, the bank’s program to help contribute to the economic vitality of its communities.  The Growing Communities initiative is designed to promote and make investments in neighborhood revitalization based on the existing assets of a community.  Projects were selected based on a competitive grant process announced in April.
