Nashua Woman Killed In 100 MPH Wrong-Way Crash

CHELMSFORD, MA -- A Nashua woman was killed Monday on Route 3 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, after police said she drove 100 mph the wrong way on Route 3 and slammed into another driver. The other driver, identified as a 21-year-old Hudson, New Hampshire, man, was also killed. The Nashua woman was identified only as a 42-year-old.

The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway. The Nashua woman was driving a Nissan Altima sedan against traffic and slammed into a Dodge Avenger sedan driven by the Hudson man. The Nashua woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hudson man was transported to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The names of the victims were withheld pending family notification.
