NH Marijuana Dealer Held On $30K Bail: Police
Nashua police said John Learned, of Pembroke, was arrested and charged with a subsequent marijuana dealing offense.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man previously convicted of dealing marijuana was arrested again on the same charges Thursday, according to police. John Learned, 37, of Pembroke, was charged with felony selling marijuana (second offense) and misdemeanor marijuana possession (second offense). Nashua Police Capt. James Testaverde said Learned faces enhanced penalties for his drug conviction history.

The suspect was held on $30,000 bail. In a statement, Testaverde said Learned was "delivering marijuana to the city with the intent to distribute."

New Hampshire lawmakers recently considered legalizing marijuana for recreational use but the effort failed this week. Vermont also outlaws recreational marijuana. Voter-approved laws allowing recreational marijuana in Maine and Massachusetts went into effect this year. Medical marijuana is legal in all four states.
