NRA Ad: Bloomberg Group 'Honors the Boston Bomber'
National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action paid for the news website ads.

The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action has paid for ads in New Hampshire bashing New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns for what the NRA called "outrageously" honoring the Boston Bomber."
A couple of the ads appear on The Telegraph of Nashua, encouraging viewers to watch a video of reaction to the rally in Concord, N.H., where the name of Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev's name was read among a list of gun violence victims. The video concludes with a grainy image of Mayor Bloomberg and the words: "Radically Wrong. Again."
Mayors Against Illegal Guns issued an apology the day after the rally. It read:

“Mayors Against Illegal Guns relied on the public list compiled by Slate.com entitled 'How Many People Have Been Killed by Guns Since Newtown?', and his name was on the list. He was absolutely not a victim, his name should have been deleted before the list was provided to a family member for reading and his name should never have been read. It was a mistake, it should not have happened and we sincerely apologize."
In Nashua, Mayor Donnalee Lozeau cut ties with Mayors Against Illegal Guns, but she did so before the Concord rally, and she says she did so when she saw the group pay for ads attacking U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH).
