Oops: Nashua Police Find Pot on Forgery Suspect
While being processed in Nashua, police found a bag of pot on Ricardo Velasco, who had just arrived from his arrest in New Windsor, NY.

Ricardo Velasco, 24, last known to live at 25 Tolles Street, Apt. B, Nashua, was arrested April 25 by Nashua Police charged with forgery, a class B felony and possession of a controlled drug, a class A misdemeanor.
The drug charge was added after a bag of pot was discovered on Velasco, who had just been extradited from New Windsor, NY, police department on the forgery charges.
According to police, a Nashua resident initially reported someone had stolen a check book from his vehicle. It was later determined Velasco had written one of the stolen checks out to himself for $1,325 and cashed it fraudulently at a bank in Nashua.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division furthered this investigation and completed an arrest warrant for Velasco for forgery, a class B felony.
Velasco was apprehended in New Windsor, NY, and extradited back to New Hampshire to face the forgery charge.

Upon taking custody of Velasco in Nashua, Velasco was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He received an additional charge of possession of a controlled drug, class A misdemeanor.
A Class B Felony is punishable by up to 7 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to 1 year in jail, exclusive of fines. Velasco refused bail and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on April 26, 2013.
