The roundup also details prior theft and drug-related convictions tied to Nashua courts, underscoring ongoing public safety and justice system activity affecting local neighborhoods.

Legislation to revert Zone 1 parking meter time back to 7 p.m. receives unfavorable recommendation to full board (inklink.news) — Nashua’s Committee on Infrastructure has rejected a proposal to roll back downtown Zone 1 parking meter hours from 9 p.m. to 7 p.m., keeping the extended evening enforcement in place for now. Alderman Tom Lopez argued the longer hours hurt Ward 4 residents and businesses, while consultants and other aldermen said early data shows the new system is working and needs more time to be evaluated.

United Way of Greater Nashua announces 2026 Governance Board and Community Advisory Council (inklink.news) — United Way of Greater Nashua, based on Broad Street in Nashua, has announced its 2026 Governance Board and Community Advisory Council, featuring many leaders from Nashua city government, schools, health care, and nonprofits. The refreshed board aims to strengthen the organization’s impact across Greater Nashua, with new members joining familiar local figures from City Hall, Nashua schools, and area hospitals.
   

4. Largest New Hampshire cities see downward trend in opioid overdoses (wmur.com) — Nashua is seeing a major improvement in opioid-related public health, with AMR reporting just 31 suspected overdoses in November across Nashua and Manchester, the lowest in a decade. Officials credit focused work to get unhoused residents into housing and treatment, and say overdose numbers have been trending downward for about a year.
