Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Accident On Amherst Street In Nashua

Nashua Fire Rescue requested a trauma alert for a 19-year-old woman struck by a car Saturday; she was rushed to Southern NH Medical Center.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR, and police received a call of a pedestrian being hit by a car in the area of 106 Amherst St. on Saturday.

Responders arrived at the scene just after 8:30 a.m. and found a pedestrian down on the road and reported the victim was a 19-year-old woman with head trauma.

Nashua Fire requested a trauma team activation at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and immediately transported the woman from the scene.

At the time of the accident, the roadway had reduced travel lanes due to a construction crew working in the roadway with several traffic flaggers working in the road. There also was a significant solar glare the driver of the car faced.

The roadway remained open as Nashua Police investigated the accident.
