3 Strikes: Theft of Cell Phone from Best Buy a Felony

David Sequeira faces felony charges due to prior theft convictions.

David Sequeira, 38, of 22 Auburn St., Apartment #C17, Nashua was arrested May 31, charged with theft by unauthorized taking, a class B felony, in connection to a theft at Best Buy.

Nashua Police Department received a complaint of a theft in which a man reportedly stole a cell phone from the retailer located at 220 DW Highway. Members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operations Bureau responded, located David Sequeira, and identified him as the individual allegedly responsible for the theft.

The charge is enhanced to a felony due to Sequeira having two prior theft related convictions.

A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines, if found guilty.

Sequeira’s bail has been set at $4,000 cash or surety pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court that is scheduled for June 3, 2013.
