Police Say Woman Stole Thousands From Employer

Virginia Manro, 50, of 2 Bradford St., Windham, was arrested Sept. 10 on a warrant in connection with a report of theft from a Nashua automotive business back in February of 2013.

Manro is charged with consolidated theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a class A felony.

Nashua Police handled the initial report of an internal theft from a downtown automotive business in February and determined that Manro, who was in charge of handling the business' finances, allegedly took thousands of dollars over several years.

In referencing the arrest during a town meeting September 11 at Nashua City Hall, Nashua Police Chief John Seusing told residents that in this case, the money was used to allegedly support a drug habit. 

"We're talking about six figures here," Seusing said.

Seusing said this particular crime is one of many thefts involving downtown businesses that contribute to a spike in drug-related crime in Nashua. 

The class A felony is punishable by up to fifteen years in prison, exclusive of fines. Manro was released on $30.000.00 personal recognizance bail pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on September 18, 2013.
