Positive Street Art Preps for New Mural

Part 1: Prep work during Saturday's Comcast Cares Day. Part 2: All welcome to help paint during May 4 Big Day of Serving.

Manny Ramirez and Tom Lopez were enjoying Saturday's sunshine and warm temperature – perfect weather for a creative neighborhood painting project.

As part of Positive Street Art, Ramirez and Lopez are working on updating the worn and tagged mural along the Heritage Rail Trail at Ash and West Hollis. Today many hands were on deck, part of Comcast Cares Day, weeding and mulching and pruning back plants along the trail, while others were doing prep work necessary to make next job, painting the mural on May 4 during the Big Day of Serving, go smoothly.

The community is invited to come out and add some elbow grease – and creative flair – to the project. As Lopez said, "It's open to everybody."
