Reported Standoff In Nashua Ends With Man Transported From C Street

A man was transported to Southern NH Medical Center; reports indicate he had a gunshot wound to the head. Nashua police remain at the scene.

NASHUA, NH — A large amount of law enforcement personnel surrounded a house on C Street near Canal Street on Monday.

Neighbors said that there were members of Nashua police and U.S. Marshals at the scene. The Nashua police dispatch log indicates they were dispatched to C street to “give assistance” at 9:30 a.m.

An AMR ambulance was dispatched to stage at Belknap and Bridge Street and await instructions from police. A short time later, they were asked to move up to 5 C St. for a victim with a gunshot wound.

Neighbors said that they heard one gunshot, but it did not appear police fired any shots according to witnesses. AMR transported a man to Southern New Hampshire Medical with a gunshot wound to the head.

Two Nashua police cruisers remain in front of the four-unit building at 11:30 a.m. on C Street, the street has reopened. Neighbors gathering in the street said the area is usually a quiet neighborhood.
