Sidewalk Project Update: Street Lights to be Lit Next Week
Follow along with the progress of the downtown sidewalk project.

Via the weekly update posted on gonashua.com:
During the week of September 9:
Rain and challenges working around the Fairpoint conduit prevented the pouring of concrete pads. The fire hydrant was relocated. The bump outs for the curbing for the street lights, planting bed and tree wells were installed. Additional brick work was completed. Conduit was run from 100 Main St. to beyond Triangle Credit Union. Crews had to mill the Fairpoint concrete duct bank in order to create enough depth for the concrete sidewalks.
This week:
Plans are to continue to form and pour the tip down at the crosswalk and four to six concrete pads and the brick work. The planting will begin in the planting beds. The street lights on the West side of Main Street will be installed. Street lights on the West side expect to be lit in the next week or two.
Schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Questions? Don’t hesitate to contact Public Works Director Lisa Fauteux or Andy Patrician, Operations Manager on site or at 589-3140.
