Sky Meadow Employee's Wife, Daughter Seriously Injured
A fund has been set up for Celeste and Sydney Corcoran, who suffered life-altering injuries in the Boston Marathon blast.

NASHUA, NH -- A part-time groundskeeper at Nashua's Sky Meadow Country Club and his family could use your support, after his wife and daughter suffered serious injuries in the Boston Marathon bomb blast.
"They're in for a long road," said Kevin Ingraham on Sunday, director of golf at Sky Meadow for the past 21 years.
Kevin Corcoran, of Lowell, Mass., who has been a seasonal employee at Sky Meadow for several years, is with his wife Celeste, and daughter, Sydney, as they recover at Boston Medical Center. Celeste lost both her legs as a result of her injuries, and Sydney's legs were "shredded with shrapnel," according to an account in the Los Angeles times, quoting Paul Corcoran, a relative and longtime Lowell, Mass., police officer.

Details of their ordeal were outlined in an email message from Sky Meadow General Manager Ed Callahan, which went out to members and friends of the country club late last week:
Our own Kevin Corcoran from the Golf Maintenance Department was watching the end of the Marathon with his wife and his [teenage] daughter. Kevin escaped with minor injuries but his wife and his daughter suffered intense and critical injuries. His wife Celeste has lost her legs and his daughter Sydney is in critical condition with very debilitating injuries. Kevin has been a valued teammate of ours at Sky Meadow and his son Tyler has been working with the Food and Beverage team for many years. The Corcorans are going to require both our prayers and “where we can”, our assistance to begin the path toward healing and recovery.

Below I have attached the link to a certified website that a friend of the family has created. This web-page also has a message board that will allow you, if you are so inclined, to share your prayers and warm messages of recovery to the Corcoran Family.
According to a story about the family published in the Lowell Sun, Celeste and Sydney Corcoran were at the finish line waiting to see Celeste's sister Carmen Accabo of Westford, Mass., complete the marathon.
A dramatic photograph of Sydney Corcoran taken at the scene, being attended by two men, was widely circulated and ran on the front page of the New York Times, before her identity was known.
On the GoFundMe page there are details and touching photographs of Sydney Corcoran's reunion with one of those men, Matt Smith, who came to her aid immediately after the blast.
CNN's Anderson Cooper told the family's story, which you can see here.
There are also photos of a visit to the Corcorans by actor Bradley Cooper, who made the rounds to see many of the injured. That celebrity influence is helping boost the fund to aid their long road to recovery, including a $25,000 donation from comedienne Chelsea Handler.
The fund-raising goal is $750,000. If you can help in any way, click on this link to get to the Celeste & Sydney Recovery Fund.
