Two Charged in Hudson Police Car Egging

Did your car get egged, too?

Hudson Police have charged two people in connection with a poorly hatched plan to egg vehicles.

They targeted a Hudson Police cruiser in a drive-by egging Sunday morning.

On March 10 at around 10 a.m. Officer Scott MacDonald was driving a marked police car north on Derry Street in Hudson when a Honda Ridgeline with three people in it passed the cruiser, heading south.

The driver was identified as Griffin Scanlon, 17, of Groton Mass.

As the Ridgeline was passing the cruiser a passenger in the Ridgeline, identified as Clyde Boykin, 17, Nashua, allegedly threw an egg at the cruiser, striking it in the driver’s side headlamp area.

Officer MacDonald was able to stop the vehicle and subsequently arrested Scanlon for criminal liability for conduct of another. Boykin was also arrested and charged with reckless conduct. Both were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to appear in the Nashua District Court on March 28.

The third individual in the Ridgeline was not involved and was not charged with any offenses.

The cruiser involved was washed off and there was no damage found, police said. The Hudson Police are looking to see if there were any other vehicles struck around that time on Sunday March 10 on Route 102 or Derry Street. If so they should contact the Hudson Police Department at 603-886-6011. The Hudson Police department would also like to remind the public that throwing things at moving vehicles creates a hazardous situation in which people could be injured or killed as a result. People who do throw things at moving vehicles are subject to serious charges if caught.
