Two Dogs Rescued From Nashua House Fire Saturday

Firefighters respond to a deck fire on Fairview Avenue, arrived to the back of the house in flames, and two dogs trapped inside.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue received multiple calls for a deck on fire in the rear of a two-family house on Fairview Avenue Saturday. While en route, responders reported smoke showing from a distance before they arrived.

When they arrived, firefighters found fire on the back of the house and one occupant who had self evacuated. Firefighters stretched hose lines and extended ladder trucks to the roof.

The resident advised of two dogs trapped in the house, firefighters were able to locate and rescue both dogs which appeared uninjured.

The fire caused extensive damage to the two family house, and was brought under control in about 20 minutes.
