Unruly Driver Tries to Flee with $25K in Heroin, Loaded Handgun
Nashua police say the two men are convicted felons. The arrests stemmed from a traffic stop late Thursday night.
Nashua police say the driver of a car pulled over for a routine traffic stop became uncooperative Thursday night and tried to run away with 248 grams of heroin and a loaded handgun.
After a brief foot chase, police said Dustin Adams, 29, of 232 Cemetery Road in Bath, was apprehended at around 10 p.m. May 29.
Police said the heroin seized has a street value of $25,000.
A passenger, Robert Orth, 28, of 48 Quint Road in South Ryegate, Vt., was also arrested.
Police said both men are convicted felons.
Adams was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, felonious use of a firearm, criminal liability for the conduct of another, simple assault on an officer, resisting arrest and detention.

Both were held on $150,000 cash bail and were arraigned May 30 at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua.
If convicted, they face up to 30 years in state prison and a $500,000 fine for the possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute charges. The Class A felonies are punishable by up to 15 years in prison and the Class B are punishable by up to 7 years in prison, exclusive of fines.
