Volunteers Take Center Stage at Humane Society

2013 Gate City Light Award was presented to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.

City Resolutions are generally no frills functional documents that make things happen.

However, during Tuesday's Board of Aldermen meeting, the annual Gate City Light Award was bestowed upon the Humane Society for Greater Nashua by way of a resolution that aptly defines not only the organization, but the reason it was honored by the city.

For 113 years this group has been a part of the Greater Nashua community, caring for upwards of 2,300 animals each year.
