• Rodney H. Smith (vnews.com) — Family and friends in Newport are mourning Rodney H. Smith, 82, whose daughter Tanya Smith lives in town. Rodney spent much of his life working in Claremont and Lebanon, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR, and leaves children and grandchildren across Newport, Vermont, and Claremont. Burial will be held later in Maine, with condolences accepted online.
