3S Artspace Looks For Portsmouth-Area Artists

Artisans have until May 3 to apply to participate in the Form and Function artisan fair being held at 3S Artspace this November.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — 3S Artspace is accepting applications for its second annual Form and Function artisan fair taking place in November. Applications are due by Friday, May 3. Work will be considered in all major arts and crafts categories. Only original, handcrafted work will be considered.

Form and Function will take place Saturday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 17. It is an intimate and selective event featuring original work by 30 artists in the greater Seacoast region. Last year, the inaugural event showcased items in the categories of textiles, jewelry, metal work, accessories, ceramics, prints and more. Approximately 2,000 visitors attended last year's event, and that number is expected to grow this year, according to the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth.

The artisans seeking to participate this year will be judged on their originality, quality of their work, their fit with the Seacoast market, and availability of space. Artisans must be able to attend the fair, and must showcase only their own, original handcrafted work. Space fees are $220 for the weekend and are due within one week of acceptance notice. Deadline to apply is May 3, and artisans will be notified whether they are selected by May 22. Apply online or contact Beth Falconer for more information, at 603-766-3330.
