4-Alarm Fire In Rochester Battled By NH and Maine Firefighters
Crews arrived to heavy fire coming from a house on Champman Drive on Friday. People inside the house escaped uninjured.
ROCHESTER, NH — Rochester fire, and several mutual aid towns responded to Chapman Drive for a reported house fire on Friday.
While en route, responding units reported heavy smoke showing from the home.
Rochester Fire Chief Mark Klose said when they arrived at the 2.5-story house it was fully engulfed in fire. According to Klose, the fire was quickly spreading, and a second and third alarm was requested.

Klose said the house was occupied at the time of the fire and everyone was able to escape after hearing smoke detectors sounding.
A fourth alarm was requested for additional personnel. The fire had extreme heat that was difficult on the firefighters. Several towns and cities responded from New Hampshire and Maine and a tanker from Pease Airbase.

There do not appear to be any injuries to the occupants or firefighters, but several ambulances are standing by.
