African Burying Ground Gets Big Boost
Boston.com reports that National Endowment of the Arts has given Portsmouth project $20,000 grant.

The African Burying Ground Memorial capital campaign received a big boost to the tune of a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, according to Boston.com.
The Boston website reported the Portsmouth project that will be located on Chestnut Street where city workers found the remains of 200 African slaves in 2003 is now closer to its $1.2 million goal.
In January, for the project and hopes to build the new memorial later this year.
