Armed Robber Nabbed at State Prison
Portsmouth Police say Ronald Bauer held up the Mobil on the Run convenience store on Jan. 12 and is wanted by two other law enforcement agencies.
A man currently behind bars at the New Hampshire State Prison has been charged with committing the Mobil on the Run armed robbery in January.
Portsmouth Police Capt. Mike Schwartz said Ronald L. Bauer, 48, has been charged for the armed robbery that occurred on Jan. 12 at the Islington Street business. Police say Bauer is incarcerated at the State Prison in Concord after he committed a parole violation.
Schwartz said that Bauer is also wanted as a fugitive from justice from the State of Maine for attempted murder relating to an incident that occurred in Lebanon, Maine on Jan. 8. He said the Somersworth Police Department will also be filing an armed robbery complaint against Bauer for an incident that happened at a convenience store on Route 108 on Dec. 28.

Schwartz said Bauer will be charged with armed robbery and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon by the Portsmouth Police Department. No decision has been made yet on where and when Bauer will be arraigned.
Schwartz said the Portsmouth armed robbery case's lead investigator is Det. Rochelle Jones. If any members of the public have any information regarding this case, they can contact Seacoast Crime Stoppers by leaving an anonymous tip at (603)431-1199 or at seacoastcrimestoppers.org. People can also text their tip to CRIMES (274637) with the letters "TIPSCS" and leave their tip that way. If a tip leads to an arrest or indictment of the individual, they could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
