Ayotte to Welcome Home Troops

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, will join Pease Greeters on Tuesday morning to welcome home more than 700 soldiers.

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte is scheduled to join the Pease Greeters on Tuesday morning for a special mission.

According to Ayotte's press secretary, Liz Johnson, Ayotte is scheduled to be at Portsmouth International Airport on Tuesday at 11 a.m. According to the Pease Greeters' website, the volunteer group is scheduled to welcome home 738 soldiers who are returning home from a deployment overseas.

Ayotte, R-NH, is a member of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee. The Pease Greeters have welcomed more than 200,000 military members since they were formed in 2005.

Ayotte's scheduled appearance comes a day after in Kittery, Maine before she discussed the negative impacts of sequestration.
