Check Out These Portsmouth Small Business Week Events

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The city is gearing up to celebrate National Small Business Week, which starts Sunday, May 5, and continues through May 11. Throughout the week, Portsmouth will be hosting several events that offer resources and networking for small businesses.

On Monday, May 6, Seacoast SCORE office at 215 Commerce Way, Suite 420, will host an interactive workshop to help create a successful marketing plan. The workshop starts at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, May 7, the Portsmouth Library will host a networking event for small business leaders from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. There will be coffee, granola, yogurt, juice and more. Participants will include members of Economic Development Department, Great Bay Community College, Small Business Administration, and Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth.

On Wednesday, May 8, the Chamber Collaborative will hold a State of the City Breakfast with City Manager John Bohenko, Mayor Jack Blalock and School Superintendent Stephen Zadravec. They will address the small business community about current and future projects. The event will take place at the Tuscan Kitchen, 581 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Also Wednesday, May 8, the Portsmouth Public Library will host a "Drive Business Results With Google Livestream" workshop, noon to 1 p.m. The event is hosted by the city, the Chamber Collaborative, Seacoast SCORE and Centrus Digital. Then, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the Portsmouth Library will host a workshop for effective digital marketing strategy.

On Thursday, May 9, the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth will present a Small Business Week Celebration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cornerstone Westend, at 110 Brewery Lane. Complimentary appetizers will be served, along with craft beer and cocktails.
